I thoroughly enjoyed the scene where we met Sully at the fashion shoot. Just his eye for detail and flair. I can’t wait for more Sully.
Straight up when Rian pins Mirth against the wall and she just notices that he is on the precipice between pretty and ruggedly handsome. *fans self with hand*
My favorite is when she meets Rian at the stables and really all of Chapter 2. Seems like she is able to be herself the most!

Since I can’t copy and paste from my phone, my favorite part so far is the scene when Mirth and Rian are in bed and Bolan bursts in. Then asks where he got the picture. The whole dynamic there had me smiling!
There are so many scenes in this book that I loved that it is hard for me to say just one. I think it would have to be when Mirth finds Sully in the Hot Tub on the balcony along with Elias and Christoph lounging smoking cigars and drinking whisky. You finally get a taste of what you have been waiting for!
I am thoroughly enjoying the book . So far this is a memorable excerpt. Maybe he’ll be less pretty in the daylight. But as inappropriate as the impulse is, I’m moments away from asking him to press me against the side of the stable again. Even if it doesn’t go anywhere sexual, just being … dominated? No, that isn’t the right word, not the right feeling.

I just LOVE Mirth and Rian together…the it’s so mutual and natural between them.
When Mirth was chasing after the twins right before her party and got caught by everybody in her non-public clothes in her hair and make up not done.
When Mirth catches her security unaware and asks them to check in on Tommy and his sister but is worried that it’s weird or creepy. She has such a good heart.

I loved the hot tub scene, but I loved this quote… A love connection isn’t even a fever dream or a fleeting thought. A glam rock star, my childhood best friend, a staid earl, a bareknuckle fighter turned archduke, or a horse breeder. I love how she was trying to define what the connection isn’t.
I loved the whole book, and all the parts with Rian are yum! But one of the cutest parts I thought was with the peaches. It was all so cute and sly! Lol!
My favorite scene at the stable when Rian asks, “ “Do you still need a ride?”
My heart thunders in my chest. For all the right reasons now. I have to quietly clear my throat to speak. “Are you offering?”
“Yes.”
“Then … yes, please.” “
To me, It was the start of her becoming herself.
It’s a bit long, and more of a passage, but I’m so ADORING the relationship between Anne and Mirth, it’s so complex and fun. I believe it’s all about Anne’s belief in Mirth, and the strong yet subtle ways she helps to guide her on her path of growth and maturity..
** She frowns. “Your list.”
“My list?”
It takes me a moment to realize what she’s talking about. Because I didn’t formally present any sort of list. I didn’t object to any of the names on the actual list, even with invitations already going out before I saw it.
“I … didn’t … I thought I hallucinated that …”
”Frowning more deeply, Anne reaches over and presses her hand to my forehead. Then she cups my cheek, holding my gaze.
Something about that contact, that … love … settles me more than the mad dash, more than the cold-water face wash.
“I took the list off your desk, darling,” Anne says. “I knew you’d never give it to me. I knew you wouldjust … accept your father’s will.”
My heart aches. “But Anne … that list … that was just … it wasn’t real. It couldn’t be … it had Armin’s name on it.” A terrible sob rips through me. I clap my hand over my mouth, managing to swallow the next sob.
Anne wraps her arms around me. Ignoring my discordant energy, she wraps me in her grounded shifter energy and just holds on. “I know.”
I press my face into her neck, noting for possibly the first time in my life that I’m actually the taller of the two of us. Anne radiates such confidence, such strength that she has always seemed, would always seem, so … alive.
“I’m … I …” I truly don’t know what to say.
“I had Raoul deliver the invitations to your five,” Anne murmurs. “So he could … impress upon them the seriousness of the situation. It’s time for them to step up.”
Step up? Step up to what? **
I loved so many of the scenes in this book but for some reason, this one is one of my favourites.
– I grin up at him, utterly shamelessly. Because my much-maligned ass makes this beast of a gentleman think of peaches. A peach.
“And you like….peaches?
When Mirth and Rian are together, and she is returning to the castle after her night with him, she is only just beginning to feel herself, the beauty of herself and the contentment of being loved, even if it has only been one night. It was so much more than that.
“But then an utterly content part of my mind — maybe even my soul — informs me that I’m keeping Rian.”
I don’t have a favorite scene yet. I am waiting on a paycheck to get the book, but I absolutely can’t wait, as I love everything you have written so far.
I am saving this read for a planned vacation where no one will bug me, so I guess anticipation is my favorite part. Lol
I really enjoyed the scene were the boys were organising themselves into a group 🙂
There were so many scenes I enjoyed. It’s hard to pick a favorite. I liked the way Rian and Mirth met. You could really tell he was a wolf shifter by the quickness and strength he showed in saving Mirth. I also liked the scene where Bolin bursts in on Rian and Mirth and he finds out that he and Rian are brothers. The scenes where you could tell that Bolin, Sully, Christoph, and Elias are being drawn together to become a bond group. I loved the whole book. I tried to limit myself to fifty pages a day to make it last longer but I didn’t manage that. I read the whole thing in one sitting.

This book is just amazing! I loved all of the intros for the characters. So many favorite parts & quotes but one that stuck in my head would be chapter 15. You had the refusal of Rian to her father (gasp), then the kidnapping (all in the enjoyment of the games), the chase of Bolan (letting us see more of him). That all led up to the quote that stood out in my mind the longest “Just don’t take me past the property boundary.” That statement captivated me & had me on the edge of my seat waiting to see what would happen (would they listen or would they cross it). Let me just say you didn’t disappoint. So many factors all happening at once & I could hardly set this book down.
I just finished both Awry and Mirth, and am trying to figure out how the 2 stories fit within the same universe because they present Conduits in very different ways. I suspect the key is relationships – Zaya feels barely in control until she realizes that Rought’s presence calms her down even though she has no memory of him. Mirth, on the other hand, knows that she’s barely in control of her powers and will be until she has a solid team by her side.
One of my favorite scenes is when Radek kidnaps Mirth and she says that there’s no way Tereza signed off on this. Radek says it’s “courting games” and Lukas mutters “Fucking cats…” Lukas’s line is my favorite.
The entire book is one amazing scene after another. Mirth and Rian though… 😍

And of course there’s the peaches 🍑😉
I love the scene with the peaches, all of the scenes with Rian, & the scene with the hot tub when Mirth & most of her guys are recognizing their bonds.
My favorite moment is just before the horseback riding with Mirth and her boys. She started to relax with them all and gets out of her head and is responding to her core reactions. To me it is the bonding moment of their group, even if none of them realize it.
I loved every scene with Rian, the scene when Mirth received the peaches, & the scene with Mirth and the guys on her balcony. I am so ready for book 2!
My favourite part was at the party when Mirth first meets Christoph and they immediately start cuddling. I can’t wait to read more!
One of the most Sully moments: Then with a viciously bright grin, he adds, “And Eli doesn’t get to watch over any other deathbeds in case he gets all ‘helpful’ again.” 😂
