I received two quick updates from Tantor Media about the Dowser Series audiobooks last week.

in the form of an email from narrator Caitlin Davies:
Elaine, who is one of Tantor’s graphic designers, sent the audiobook cover for my approval. I’m so pleased the publisher opted to use Elizabeth Mackey’s covers as the basis for their design.

There is something very pleasing about having work ‘magically’ happening behind the scenes while I focus on getting more books written! So yay for Mondays!

Happy December 1st!

It’s completely and utterly insane that it’s December 1st today … that it is late afternoon on December 1st!

I knew it was December 1st this morning because Michael woke me up at 4:30 a.m. singing Christmas carols. There is a ban on carol singing before December 1st in this household, which he finds fairly impossible to adhere to. He then put eggnog in his coffee, took a swig, and declared that he was going to put eggnog in his coffee for every 31 days in December.

Yes, at 4:30 .a.m. Though it might have been 5 a.m. at that point.

Then we drove onto a ferry in the pitch dark to take my dad to the dentist.

After a stop at Starbucks, where Michael drank a second eggnog latte and declared “no more coffee for me today,” we drove dad home. Unfortunately, he didn’t provide us with any drugged up footage liable to viral on YouTube. I gather they didn’t sedate him enough at the dentist. 😛

Then I chatted with Caitlin Davies about narrating the audiobooks for the Dowser Series. She seems lovely, and I think she will do a great job of voicing Jade. She is currently recording Dowser 1, which will be released on January 26, 2016. YAY!

In other news, the black printed, Attempted Murder T-shirt is currently listed as unavailable. Amazon Merch has gotten hit and is limiting orders. As soon as they get things sorted on their end it will be available again. All the other designs are currently available.

I See You (Oracle 2) is inches away from being uploaded, all ready to be released on December 17, 2015. It’s currently available for preorder, and if you’re on my new release mailing list, I will drop a reminder in your inbox on the day.

To celebrate December 1st, Michael strung coloured lights around the chicken coop run and lit our first fire in our little cabin. I’ll snap a picture of the coop when we head out to put the chickies to bed, then publish this post.

Time to start baking for Christmas! What are your go-to recipes this time of year?

Happy December 1, 2015. Christmas lights on the chicken coop. The imaginatively named, Swedie, a Swedish Flower Hen, attempting to head bed while one of the Black Copper Marans blocks her way into the coop (which you can see if you squint closely, though maybe that’s just me).

Bonus shot:

Fuzzy Cuddles in the rain with two of his girls, Black Boots and Yellow Boots, who are Black Copper Marans and lay chocolate-coloured eggs!!

ETA. I just caught Michael pouring himself more coffee and eggnog, so I guess his ‘no more coffee today’ edict didn’t hold. LOL

Dowser Series: Tantor Media and audiobooks

I’m exceedingly pleased to announce that Tantor Media will be publishing Dowser Series audiobooks beginning in January 2016. They will produce and publish one title a month through May 2016, up to and including the to-be-released untitled Dowser 6. [I have the title, of course, I’m just keeping it a secret for now. 😀 ]

Yes, I have been wooed away from the pure indie-author path. I guess I’m one of those ‘hybrid-author’ types now.
