Ability to absorb the powers of other Adepts by drinking their blood. Ice blue eyes (occasionally referred to as silver). White blond hair, usually worn short. Broad forehead. Lanky frame. 5’11. Had (witch) powers before he was turned. His magic tastes like cool peppermint and appears red. Drives a white BMW SUV. 1200+ years old. Second son of witch family, bred to be a sacrifice to his grandsire, Ve, who was playing at being a God at the time. Sire is Estelle, who killed him out of jealously and then was forced to remake him as punishment. Ve’s shiver is based out of London, England but Kett is currently leasing a 5000 sq ft penthouse that overlooks False Creek in Vancouver, BC, formerly owned by Rochelle Saintpaul (Oracle), now owned by Pearl Godfrey (Head of the Godfrey Coven). Maker and master of Jasmine Fairchild, mentor (and now master) of Benjamin Garrick. Objects of power: Invisible satchel. As well as a collection of centuries of untold treasures, including the fountain pen he gave to Benjamin Garrick.
Kett first appeared in Cupcakes, Trinkets, and Other Deadly Magic as well as every other book in the Dowser series. He’s a main character in the Reconstructionist trilogy, starting with Catching Echoes, and makes an appearance in Misfits 1.

One of my favorite characters from the beginning. Completely drawing attention to himself with the lift of his eyebrow. He made me beg him to take Wisteria as his own. BEG HIM! His “taste of peppermint” is completely on track. Immediately identifiable, chilling and overpowering. I just love him.

I love him! ❤🖤❤ I saw as all straight lines and sharp features and this, he is perfect. Absolutely perfect. I have my favorite characters and he is one, but he is also the one that I would pick to meet. He fascinates me to no end.
You seem very nervous about this one… He’s wonderful! just like the rest of the sketches. He looks very close to what I always picrure & it is so fun to actually get to see an image.
Actually, I was worried – not nervous – for good reason. I’ve already gotten negative comments even when I asked people to be kind and remember it’s all for fun. And negative comments upset me when I’m trying to be fun and light and to celebrate life while in a great deal of daily pain.
I found your books about 18 months ago and now own all of them and you are one of my few automatic buys. However I am concerned about you and your statement of a great deal of pain in your daily life. I truly hope there is something to help you. You have such great stories.
I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to upset you. I’m just trying to be open about such things because as women we don’t talk about our struggles. By not talking about it we don’t demand help from our doctors, etc, and we don’t know that others are experience the same issues. In my case, a headache set in nine months ago and I’m never without it. Not one day of relief. Sometimes the pain lessens slightly, and sometimes it is so bad I can’t think. More often, it is just a constant simmer of pain that I desperately try to work with to be somewhat functional.
It saddens me that even when I ask people to be kind and just enjoy the sketches (or free recipes) that I still get a lot of nasty comments. It is possible I’m extra sensitive because I’m in pain and tired and just trying my best every day.

An excellent reconstruction 😉 of a character who is fast becoming one of my favourites, I just finished the reconstructionist series and loved Wisteria too, does she come back? It doesn’t seem as though she plays any role in the rest of the books available so far, I almost like her more than Jade. Thank you for creating such an amazing world to dive into and now providing some visual stimulus as well 😁
