Misfits 1: one-month anniversary

Misplaced Souls (Misfits of the Adept Universe 1) has been out in the world – in ebook form, paperback still pending a book cover – for one month today, so I thought the timing perfect for a little spoiler of what is to come for the series. Though, those of you who read the last scene of Misfits 1 closely have probably worked out who will be narrating book 2 already!

Without further ado – a glimpse at my Misfits ‘ideas, etc’ notebook! The narrators shall be: in order, top to bottom (and subject to the whim of my muse):

And because someone might ask, I’m hoping to have Book 2 ready for winter 2020/2021 (so, fingers crossed for December or January) but again – with the constant headache – I’m writing what I can when I can. The goal is at least ONE Misfit title a year while I also write the Amplifier Series (and possibly a space opera series I’m brewing). If I can write more, I most definitely will.

  9. Hi Meghan – I am loving Misfits 1 and am really glad to hear there will be more as I have read everything you have written (I think). I can’t make a guess as to the next narrator as I am limiting myself to 10/15 mins a day before I go to sleep to cheer me up in these worrying times.
    I am also reading all the titles nominated for the Carnegie Medal (equivalent of the USA Newbury Medal) as I am an avid reader of sf and fantasy – although in my old age I have become very picky.
    Best wishes to all in the USA – may we all ‘get well soon’ 🙂

  11. I’m actually pretty excited for both Peggy and Gabby…they are so mysterious still and oh, SO powerful. Can’t wait! Truly hope you can have some resolution and respite from your headaches. They are so debilitating and demoralizing. You are an amazing writer! And I will never give up hope you will one day return to the Spirit series, haha.

  12. Kandy would a an awesome story! Would also love to see more about Mory especially as she seems to be left alone by her mother so much. I also have a feeling that she is much stronger then her. However I will read whatever you write 😁. Hope you can find a resolution for the headaches.

  15. I’m very excited for Kandy’s POV! I’m guessing it will be hysterical!

    Also, I have a dilemma! I have Mory as the background on my iPad, and Ed on my iPhone. Every time I see them, I want to read about Mory again! But I have too many other books I haven’t read the I need to get to! What should I do?!?

  16. Mory is a a favorite of mine so I really enjoyed the last book. I know that I will get into each woman’s story in the Misfit’s universe and it will be fun to learn more about each one. So for me, I’m looking forward to Peggy and Gabby’s stories. Can’t wait!
