From idea to … publication.

Just in case you ever wondered how long I work on some of my books/stories before even writing the first draft, I pulled this notebook off the shelf this morning:

Yep, I came up with the core idea for Oracle 4 in the Fall of 2018!!! And just added some delicious ‘crossover’ elements to it today!

Oh yeah, all sorts of fun things are about to happen to the Adept Universe reading order/timeline (for release in 2021) … I really hope SFG (aka the editor) doesn’t fire me.

I’m guessing this isn’t the ‘crossover’ you expected, but the muse takes me where she wants to go! I’m just along for the ride and I hope you will be as well. 🙂

  1. I see you have a Montblanc Meisterstuck 149 rollerball pen (or what I assume is a rollerball as I have the same – a gift from my Father). Have you considered fountain pens? They are wonderful for those of us who prefer to create the old-fashioned way – pen in hand! I can make some very good suggestions 🙂

    1. I have a fairly robust collection of pens. Including three fountain pens. The Montblanc was a gift many many years ago and I keep coming back to it because I love its weight and length. Plus I can’t seem to use a fountain pen without getting ink all over me. Though that doesn’t stop me from having a multitude of ink as well. 😊

      1. Excellent! I can recommend the Aurora DuoCart – it is super easy to fill, has a nice weight/length and uses a hooded nib – no inky fingers! My go-to is my 1953 Parker 51 “Special”, similar in design to the modern Aurora with a fine point nib.

I have read all of your work – looking forward to the next installment!

  2. That’s not just a teaser, that’s a mega teaser on steroids! Oh what could MCD be dreaming up next????????

  3. Wherever you are going, I am sure to be along for the ride. BTW, no editor with a single functioning brain cell would ever think of firing you. You would be irreplaceable. Eager to see what is coming next!💖💖😍
