Round up: Week of Jan 15 – 31, 2021

It’s been a bit of an eventful week – and it is not over yet! – so I thought a round-up might be in order:

I sent Kandy’s prequel short story – In But a Moment (Moments of the Adept Universe 0.1) – to my newsletter subscribers on Thursday. My mailing list service informs me that only half of those emails have been opened so far, so if you’re interested in reading make sure to check your spam/junk/promos folders.

And! If you want to chat about Kandy’s story, I also posted a discussion thread on my blog.

The serialization of Awakening Infinity (Archivist 0) continues through February. The preorder is also available (releasing March 2). Click here for Chapter One. Also, Kim is posting discussion threads over on the Facebook reader-run fan group for those of you interested in chatting with other readers about Dusk, Sisu, and the games that guardian dragons play.

And finally, I’ll be launching the first of the Reconstructionist audiobook mass giveaways here on the blog tomorrow (Sunday, Jan 31 at 2pm PST). Starting with book one, Catching Echoes. Remember these giveaways are first-come, first-served! And the USA codes are generally gone within thirty minutes. So be sure to Google your time zone and refresh/load this page (www.madebymeghan.ca) right at 2 pm PST if you’re interested in scoring a free listen!

All and all a fun week!! And looking forward to February!

Leo knows what Saturdays afternoons are for: napping, not blogging or scheduling giveaways!

FYI. I’m cross-posting these updates to Facebook and Twitter separately because so many readers seem to miss my posts. I apologize in advance to those of you that get hit with it multiple times.

FYI 2. I’m in the home stretch on the first draft of Archivist 1, so I’ll likely be quiet on social media, etc, until it is done.

  1. Thank you! I love both of the stories. I cannot wait to read Archivist 1. You are amazing. I hope you feel well.

  2. I appreciate all you do for your readers. I’m assuming we are such needy people because we love your books and if you could pop out books like you do cupcakes we’d all be happy. While we realize that’s not possible, we still eagerly await each written morsel.

  3. Thank you so much for all your hard work this week. It is very much appreciated and I look forward to reading about Kandy.

  4. I do enjoy all of the stories. I open all the mail and all the Twitter messages. Better to get two messages than none! Hope you have as much fun writing as we do reading!

  5. I read everything you send and faithfully forward them to my daughter, who i got hooked on the “cupcakes and magic” books 🙂 Thank you , stay well and keep cranking them out please

  6. Sadly, I never received Kandy’s Prequel. I checked my junk mail and spam and nothing was there. I’ve received all of the other newsletters do I’m no sure what could have happened. Will it be released again later?

    1. I can’t help you solve technical issues on your end, Veronica. As I’m sure you understand. As I’ve mentioned in multiple places/times at the end of the year the shorts will be bundled and put up on all retailers. But if you don’t sort out your issue with the newsletter – the NEWSLETTER not the BLOG posts – then you won’t get any of my emails ever, including all the other short stories.

  7. I know that my security features do not let most authors know if I opened an email… So that could be part of it. I cannot wait for the new spin-off! I love everything I have read so far on here.
