Book Bonanza Raffle 2021

I’m donating an ‘Adept Universe Swag Box’ to the 2021 Book Bonanza Raffle. The prizes are insane! And all the $$ goes to charity. If I understand it correctly, you buy raffle tickets for certain items to enter to win that particular item. And yeah, I’m about to drop some serious cash myself …

I just bought raffle tickets for four items I’d probably never buy for myself: the Louis Vuitton Purse, Dyson Airwrap, Bose Sleepbuds, and an absolutely gorgeous quilt!

Fun! Fun!

Edited to add more pictures of the raffle items (they are a little blurred on the main page right now):

  1. This looked awesome, so I checked it out – it looks like the 2021 event has been cancelled though. Here is the update:

    Book Bonanza 2021 Cancellation Announcement

The Book Bonanza team has made the very difficult decision to cancel our 2021 event.
We have done everything we can to prepare for a safe event, but considering the size of this event, the number of attendees and the travel restrictions still in place for many, we do not feel we can put on an event to our standards by this summer without compromising the health of our authors and attendees.
We do have a little bit of good news to share. We have been so grateful that The Gaylord staff has been so accommodating, and the event we were able to have with them in 2019 was so great, we have added 2023 and 2024 events to the schedule. We plan to make up the events we had to miss in 2020 and 2021 in EPIC ways and we truly hope you all come join us!
We plan to automatically roll your ticket to our July 8-9 2022 event. If you cannot make these dates in 2022, you have the option to roll your ticket to 2023 or even 2024. The choice is yours, and we will have those summer dates available to you as soon as we lock them in. You can also choose to sell your ticket if for any reason you don’t think you can attend any of the upcoming three scheduled years.
Hotel reservations for 2021 will automatically be cancelled by the hotel if you booked using the Book Bonanza room block. New links to make reservations for 2022 will be shared with you guys as soon as we have them!
To roll your ticket over to a future year OTHER than 2022, click this link: https://forms.gle/R5QHKVF4mziEKKuc8
If you want to sell your ticket, fill out the resale form so we can put you on the list: https://forms.gle/GkMVUc6wWWWh1Ft49
If you have questions that can’t be answered here, please fill out the help form: https://forms.gle/JxUuiH1ixXJ5iwxe7
We hope you all understand the reasons behind this difficult decision and we are so thankful to have your continued support. We do plan on having our annual online raffle again this year, so we have that to look forward to! You guys raised over $100,000 for food banks in 2020 and we hope to have an equally successful fundraiser for 2021 with some great items to win.
Thank you, we love you, we can’t wait to be with you again.

    Darn!!!

  2. Oh wow they have wonderful prizes! And supporting victims of violence. Hope I win your package!

  3. Oh goody another way to spend money!! Haha.
I’d never heard of Book Bonanza and now I want to go next year.
Meghan is it likely you will be there next year doing signing?

    1. It looks fantastic, doesn’t it? But no, I won’t be signing in 2022. The airfare from the west coast of Canada is rather expensive and the constant headache makes travelling seem a little insurmountable right now.
