I have been seriously neglecting the ‘marketing’ aspect of my job. And the blog! I love writing every day. And I adore chatting about books and chocolate/treats on Facebook and Twitter, also posting pictures of cats and flowers and food over on Instagram. But I’m often at a loss on how to ‘market’ my books (other than an occasional Bookbub ad. And I so happen to have one of those coming up in September. Thank goodness. LOL).

Anyway! One of the marketing ‘things’ I’m fairly regular at is giveaways … except it’s been over a month since I’ve given any thing away, so I thought – Logic by MCD™ – I should do a bunch of giveaways at once!

Mailing List Giveaway – Three prizes!

You might have just received an email about my new release mailing list reengagement campaign. Essentially, I’ve trimmed everyone off my mailing lists who (according to my hosting site) haven’t engaged or opened an email from me in a couple of years. Or who recently signed up for my list via Instafreebie.

I’ve done this for two reasons.

I have an upcoming new release (Reconstructionist 2) and don’t want to continue spamming anyone who doesn’t wish to be spammed. Our inboxes are full enough!
I pay MailChimp to host my mailing lists for me, so subscribers who don’t actually want to get emails from me actually cost me a tiny bit of money every month.

To make this a fun endeavour, I decided to put together three prize packages, including autographed paperbacks of the three entry points to the Adept Universe – find the reading order here – the Dowser, Oracle, and Reconstructionist Series.

Prize pack #1 includes: an autographed paperback of Dowser 1, plus 6 Dowser recipe cards.

Prize Pack #2 includes: an autographed paperback of Oracle 1, plus 6 butterfly tattoos, and 3 postcards.

Prize pack #3 includes: an autographed paperback of Reconstructionist 1, plus 5 meme postcards.

All you need to do in order to enter is either subscribe to, or already be on, my new release mailing list. Yep, everyone on my mailing list before March 28, 2017 will automatically be entered to win one of these three prizes. YAY! Oracle 3: paperback proof

This pretty thing was waiting by my front door when I got home from driving Michael to the optometrist this afternoon.

Oracle 3: preorder giveaway

I thought it might be fun to tie a giveaway to the preorder period of the release of I See Us (Oracle 3). So from now until October 6, 2016 anyone who preorders or reserves/requests the book from their library will be eligible to win a set of autographed Oracle Series paperbacks (ebooks pictured above) and/or an autographed Oracle meme postcard and a butterfly temporary tattoo (samples in picture below).

Dowser 5: paperback

So this beauty just showed up in my mailbox for proofing.

I love ebooks, and I rarely buy paperbacks myself. Though I do have a few author-signed books that I’ve collected lately. But there is just something about seeing your words in print. 😀

I immediately approved the proof, so it’s on sale at Createspace now and should be available on Amazon in 3 days or so, then on other retailers in about a week.
